Stepping Onto the Path of the Boddhisattva

The bodhisattva is a spiritual practitioner who delays enlightenment out of compassion for beings who remain in a condition of suffering.

The Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life (in Sanskrit, bodhicaryāvatāra) is a famous text by Shantideva, the great 8th-century Indian philosopher, Buddhist monk, poet, and scholar-practitioner.

This seminar will offer an introduction to Shantideva and a way to better understand one’s relationship to equanimity, patience, and effort through meditation and reflection.

Learn about Shantideva’s living example and about how you might begin walking the path of the Bodhisattva in a world that needs it now more than ever.
